Founded in 1960, Aspire is one of 20 community support providers that contract with the state of South Dakota to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes, work, and recreational day. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour for hours worked Monday 12:00am-Friday 11:59pm. We pay our staff a premium wage(time and a half) to work weekend hours which entail hours worked from Saturday at 12:00am-Sunday at 11:59pm. Premium hourly wage would then be $30.00 per hour making your average hourly wage $23.33!
Benefits for full time employees after completion of 60 day Orientation Period include:
Health through Blue Cross Blue Shield (can choose any provider!), Dental, Vision, $20k Company Paid Life insurance & AD&D, supplemental Life Insurance, 401k (Aspire matches 5%), Lifestyle Spending Account to use for Emotional, Financial and Physical Wellness (accrues $50 per month), supplemental policies through the Standard (Critical Illness, Accident, & Hospital), Employee Assistance Program through Avera.
Holiday pay- receive 8 hours of regular rate of pay for each of the 8 holidays. If you work on a holiday and it falls during the week, you will receive time and a half. If the holiday falls on a weekend, you will receive double pay! Also, student loan forgiveness, paid training, approved mileage is reimbursed at current mileage rate, and free hot meal (depending on work location).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic fluency in oral and written English.
- Pass qualifying criminal background checks which includes motor vehicle driving records.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening. Upon hire, employees are subject to random and reasonable suspicion testing per Aspire Inc.’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
Licenses/Required Testing:
A valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability is required upon hire. Must have a safe driving record, have at least 3 years of driving experience, and be insurable under our insurance.
Employees must successfully complete all required agency training in the required time allotted, and recertify annually.
