Position Summary
The Materials Coordinator – Expediter Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all Materials Coordinator – Expediter positions. The MCES interfaces with internal and external customers to understand changing requirements, deadlines and priorities so as to ensure ongoing projects are completed early or on time. This role supervises all personnel who are specifically assigned to customer projects and is responsible for the training and development of both entry level and experienced subordinates.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Supervision, training and development of all direct reports.

The MCES shall be responsible for manpower planning and assignment to ensure all projects are being adequately supported.

Routinely communicates with Program Managers and Customers in order to provide latest status on parts needed for aircraft currently undergoing maintenance and to request information that is necessary to plan for upcoming aircraft projects.

In collaboration with the Planning Department, the MCES shall actively participate in Pre-induction activities which include gathering BOM requirements for fixed and as required parts which are the responsibility of Aspire to provide. Additionally, the CMM shall ensure all customers provided material shortages reported during pre-induction meetings and followed up for expedient delivery.

In collaboration with the Director of Purchasing, the MCES shall actively participate in the forecasting/planning and execution of purchases based on planned and unplanned material requirements, historical consumption, production maintenance trends, and other operational requirements.

In collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, the MCES will ensure optimal product availability and warehouse support for each aircraft project.

The MCES shall provide oversight and direction of all order picking, distribution and staging activities that are carried out in customer designated stockrooms or project POU locations.

Initiates and recommends approval of personnel actions including PTO, pay changes, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and leaves of absence.

Interviews, selects and/or recommends hire of employees; and provides appropriate training for departmental personnel.

Interfaces with the customer as necessary to understand expectations as it relates to asset management, ERP system training, and periodic reporting requirements.

Ensures all Customer Material activities are operated and maintained in a manner that complies with both regulatory and customer standards.

Developing metrics and preparing periodic performance reports in areas of production support performance, workload leveling, procurement cycle times, resourcefulness, cost/benefit analysis and loss prevention.

Ensures all employees carry out duties in a safe and productive manner.

Organizes and or participates in on-going process improvement activities in an effort to maximize operational efficiency.
