REQUIREMENTS:
- College coursework completed in emergency management, public health, nursing, or related healthcare field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in healthcare-related emergency preparedness or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership in planning, coordinating, or executing emergency management initiatives.
- FEMA IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800, IS-907, ICS 300 & 400 required
- Hazmat Awareness, Medical Preparedness for Response to Bombing Incidents (MPRBI), Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS), Advanced Disaster Life Support (ADLS), 800 MHz Radio Operator Training, and De-escalation Training required or completed within one year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of emergency preparedness programs across Aspire Rural Health System. This role ensures organizational compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, DNV standards, and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) emergency management requirements. The role supports proactive planning, effective response capabilities, and recovery readiness to safeguard patients, staff, and facilities in all emergency situations.
