What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Applications Engineer position at Aspire Talent Solutions?
Duties:
- Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal
- Programming and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills, and automation and robotics
- Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machine tools
- Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
- Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance
Qualifications:
- 5 Years of CNC Programming, Machinist, and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience required
- Knowledge of CNC based controls
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
- Ability work onsite and travel regionally up to 60%
