What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Educator position at Aspire Transitional Care?
The Peaks, a senior living community, and Aspire Transitional Care are collaborating to introduce an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program in the Flagstaff area. We are seeking a registered nurse to serve as an instructor, responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing educational services for these two facilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver curriculum according to Arizona state guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, including attendance, schedules, and course requirements
- Evaluate student performance through testing, observation, and assessment
- Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters student participation and interpersonal skills development
- Deliver instruction using active learning methods tailored to different learning styles
- Collaborate with facility administrators and staff to integrate clinical instruction with the program
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Program Director
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A current, active RN license in good standing
- A minimum of one year full-time or 1500 hours of experience providing direct care as a registered nurse in any setting
Candidates may also qualify if they have completed a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts, a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts, or one year of full-time or 1500 hours of experience teaching adults or supervising nursing assistants.
