Note: Only local candidates from Houston, TX will be considered.
Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Cloud Tester to join the Vulnerability Testing Team. This role requires a highly skilled professional to conduct manual cloud-based vulnerability assessments, analyze security risks, and assist with remediation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform manual vulnerability assessments on cloud-based systems.
- Identify and report security risks, ensuring accurate tracking and risk categorization.
- Work closely with clients to address remediation and validation questions.
- Utilize security assessment tools and techniques to analyze cloud infrastructure, IAM, networking, authentication, and security policies.
- Conduct network traffic analysis to detect vulnerabilities and sensitive data exposure.
- Provide expert insights into compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA).
- Educate teams on OWASP Top 10 security risks and best practices.
- 2 years of experience in penetration/vulnerability testing of cloud systems in an enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in Azure and/or AWS security.
- Deep understanding of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, Forms, Database Connectivity).
- Hands-on experience with manual web application vulnerability assessments, without reliance on automated scanning tools.
- Knowledge of core security principles, including defense in depth, least privilege, encryption, security architecture, and access controls.
- Ability to train others on cloud security concepts and best practices.
