Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Java Architect with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing and developing scalable Java-based applications and a solid understanding of pharma-specific processes and compliance standards. This is an onsite role based in either Connecticut or Missouri.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance Java-based solutions tailored to pharmaceutical requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including GxP, HIPAA, and FDA guidelines.
- Provide architectural guidance for software development, integration, and deployment.
- Optimize application performance and scalability while ensuring robust security.
- Lead code reviews, establish best practices, and mentor the development team.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE development and architecture.
- Proven experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of domain-specific regulations and processes.
- Expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with data standards and integration in pharma, such as CDISC and HL7.
- Experience with big data tools and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices.
