Head of Marketing – Series A Security Startup (US – East Coast, Remote)
Our client, a recently funded Series A startup in the security space, is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead its demand generation, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategy in the United States. This is a unique opportunity to establish and scale a world-class marketing function for a high-growth cybersecurity company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy, driving brand awareness and pipeline growth.
- Own and scale demand generation programs, including digital marketing, content marketing, field marketing, and ABM strategies.
- Establish a strong brand presence and thought leadership in the security space through compelling messaging and storytelling.
- Collaborate closely with sales and product teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
- Define and optimize marketing metrics and KPIs, ensuring data-driven decision-making and measurable impact.
- Drive customer acquisition and engagement through multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, including external agencies and contractors as needed.
- Oversee event marketing strategy, including industry conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven marketing experience, with a strong background in cybersecurity or B2B SaaS.
- Proven track record of building and scaling marketing teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Deep expertise in demand generation, product marketing, and brand positioning.
- Experience with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.), CRM platforms, and analytics.
- Strong understanding of the security landscape and buyer personas (CISOs, security architects, IT leaders).
- Ability to work cross-functionally, especially with sales, product, and customer success teams.
- Exceptional storytelling, messaging, and communication skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and optimize marketing ROI.
