Aspirus At Home in Ironwood, MI is seeking a PHYSICAL THERAPIST to join our field team!
While specific tasks may vary, general responsibilities include:
- Provide evaluation utilizing tests/measures to arrive at clinical assessment of patient's condition.
- Process information gathered during evaluation to establish an appropriate treatment plan.
- Perform ongoing re-evaluation of patient's response to treatment, determining appropriate modifications and timely discharge.
- Clinically train and supervise aide and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in carrying out treatment plan.
- Provide adequate documentation for purposes of justifying reimbursement to third party payers, establishing baseline data and subsequent progress, and recording of treatment.
- Communicate to other therapists and health professionals regarding patient status and progress.
HOURS: Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period. Day shift, occasional weekend/evenings.
Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of physical therapy standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a school of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Post graduate education in an area of specialization beneficial.
- Experience in general practice of physical therapy with experience in area of specialization beneficial.
- Current Michigan licensure to practice Physical Therapy required.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Clinical Specialist certification beneficial.
- Possesses and maintains a valid Driver’s License required.
- Possesses automobile liability insurance with $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability.
