Aspirus Health Plan (AHP) in Wausau, WI is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team!
The Senior Financial Analyst coordinates accounting and financial matters for AHP. They support the AHP Finance Director in driving strategic planning and forecasting processes that support decision making. They contribute to larger system finance initiatives as part of the fiscal services team and collaborate to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for the Division.
The Senior Financial Analyst may also be responsible for assisting with the accurate, complete and timely preparation of reports, providing analytical support for projects, as well improvement of finance processes, procedures and documentation. Project coordination and implementation may also be a focus of this role. This position interacts with cross-functional groups throughout the organization both within and outside of Finance.
The Senior Financial Analyst may be involved in the timely and accurate completion of Statutory Filings following Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) accounting rules. Quarterly and annual filings are an essential requirement of AHP's business to ensure consistent reporting among insurers and to provide information to state regulators that allows them to determine a company's solvency.
HOURS : Full Time or 1.00 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks
Experience / Qualification :
- Knowledge of accounting standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience in related area.
- Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of five to seven years of health care financial management experience.
