Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking a STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN to join our team!
While specific tasks may vary, general responsibilities include:
- Maintains scopes.
- Performs sterilization of instruments and other equipment.
- Assists surgical techs in daily routine.
- Cleans and disinfects the perioperative area as needed.
HOURS: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period. Day Shift.
Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of patient care standards and general office practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR/BLS required
- Obtains certification for "Technician Sterile Processing Roles and Responsibilities" immediately following one year of experience in the department.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Attention to detail
- Surgical instrument terminology
