Contract Length : 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours Per Week : 40hrs
Primary Location : Aspirus Wausau Hospital – Wausau, WI
Shift Requirements : 8-Hour shifts, varied between 630a and 5p.
Weekend / Holiday : No weekends. Holiday rotation.
Float Requirements : N / A
On Call / Call Back Requirements : No Call
Unit Specific Information
Knowledge of ECG interpretive skills (identification and differentiation of arrhythmia), cardiac clinical assessment, and routine cardiovascular pharmacological agents (indications, use and effects).
Knowledge of the technological aspects of devices (pacemakers, ICDs) i.e., pulse generators, leads and electrodes, sensing, stimulation, timing cycles, algorithms and defibrillation concepts.
Able to do programming checks preferred (not required).
A working knowledge of the 4 major programmers (Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, Biotronik).
Ability to do remote monitoring.
Preferred : Experience with Epic EMR and / or PaceArt.
We have 4800 patients enrolled in the Device Clinic. Daily tasks consist of remote download analysis, in-patient checks, post implant teachings.
