Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an Ambulatory Aide to join our Therapy team!
Patients who can ambulate early and regularly have been shown to have reduced length of stay and less postoperative or post-procedural complications. The Ambulatory Aide is a non-licensed worker who has completed on the job training to assist patients to safely ambulating and are recovering from injuries, illnesses or surgery during their inpatient admission.
Experience/Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Presently pursuing a degree in either Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy
- Knowledge of patient care standards and practices via previous experience as nursing assistant or aide beneficial.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- A history of school and work performance that gives evidence of ability to meet the job requirements beneficial.
