We are seeking an experienced Echocardiographer/Vascular Technologist to join our team.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will provide quality cardiovascular diagnostic services to patients of all ages, understanding the needs of specific age groups in terms of their physical and motor development, psychosocial development, and intellectual/language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing echocardiogram tests to obtain important data about patients
- Looking at blood flow, valve function, and chamber size to determine the overall condition of the heart
- Assisting physicians in the diagnosis of patients with heart conditions
- Accurately recording patient data and test results
- Helping with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments or cleaning equipment
Requirements:
- An Associate Degree or bachelor's degree in an allied health field
- Knowledge of routine cardiovascular pharmacological agents
- ECG interpretive skills (identification and differentiation of arrhythmia)
- Echocardiographer Tech registry (RDCS or RCS) or Vascular Tech registry (RVT or RVS)or registry eligible within 18 months of hire
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license required
- Maintains number of Continuing Education Credits necessary to keep credentials (30 every 3 years)
