The Clinical Dietitian provides nutritional services to patients and/or families including assessment of nutritional status, nutritional care planning, counseling and evaluation. Interacts with other health care team members in information exchange for planning and delivering appropriate patient care. Provides patient, staff and community education.
Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of nutrition standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in an Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) accredited program in dietetics.
- Recent hospital-based experience in clinical nutrition necessary to enhance and develop skills, with one year of experience in clinical nutrition care beneficial.
- Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR) and Certified Dietician by the State of Wisconsin; or registry eligible status, with successful completion of the registration exam within 6 months of hire.
- Member of AND recommended.
- Possesses good written and verbal communication skills.
- Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
Hours: Full Time or 0.8 FTE, 64 hours every 2 weeks. Day only, some weekend coverage.
