Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI is seeking a LABORATORY SECTION LEAD to join our team!

The Laboratory Section Lead acts as the lead tech within one or more laboratory modalities (Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, Microbiology/Molecular Diagnostics, or Point-of-Care Testing). Has technical oversight of their section with respect to new implementations, quality assurance activities, and training and competency of staff. Performs testing and routine duties of an MLT/MLS.

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Varied shifts.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Has a minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Possesses active Medical Technology (MT-ASCP), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS-ASCP), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT-ASCP) or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained
