We are currently hiring a Scheduler/Cost Controller to join our engineering team. Scheduler/Cost Controller
A Scheduler/Cost Controller with Asplundh Engineering Services will be responsible for producing a variety of cost reports and schedules supporting the Project Management team. The scheduler/cost controller will work closely with other divisions, outside consultants/vendors agencies, and the project team.
Scheduler/Cost Controller Responsibilities:
- Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards
- Verify accuracy of cost information and allocation of data to the project budget
- Prepare cost reports, schedule, and project forecasts for use by the project team
- Monitor project costs and maintain change control log
- Provide cost data related to deviations, under-runs, and over-runs
- Develop and maintain project schedule including monitoring critical path analysis
- Develop project schedule WBS, sequence, and logic for activities
- Provide look-ahead schedules and identify work/activities that can be consolidated
- Perform current schedule and cost analysis versus baselines
- Develop and maintain project controls data with financial and performance systems
- Work closely with all departments and project management team
- Performs other project controls related duties as assigned
- Complete and submit weekly paperwork (e.g. Timesheets, Expense Reports, etc.)
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well-organized and strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work with teams and provide accurate reporting and data analysis as needed
- Experience in project controls for Electrical Utilities is preferred but not required
- Computer knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office applications are required
Certifications:
- Background check clearance
- Valid driver’s license
- First Aid/AED
- OSHA 10
Education & Experience:
- University degree, or related training and / or experience specific to project controls is preferred
- SAP experience required
- Primavera and / or MS Project experience required
- Two to five years of experience
License & Certifications:
- CAPM or PMI-SP certification or equivalent is desired
