Job Description :
As a Substation Physical Designer, you will work on diverse client projects, including those for investor-owned and municipal utilities, independent power producers, renewable energy companies, and large commercial and industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create physical design drawings, such as General Arrangement, Elevations and Equipment Connection Details, Grounding Plan and Details, Conduit Plan and Details, Control Building Layout and Details, Foundation Plan and Details, and develop material lists.
- Conduct studies and calculations to properly design substations, including grounding calculations, lightning protection calculations, battery bank sizing calculations, conduit fill calculations, and substation sizing calculations, as well as perform AC & DC substation studies.
- Ensure compliance with quality control and safe work practices while maintaining adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Work with client standards to implement the design.
