Data Insights Specialist - Procurement Services
The Data Insights Specialist will become part of the Procurement Services department and will support the on-going maintenance of the department's data, monthly reporting for Savings and other metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ongoing Reporting and Processes (40%): Manage our internal processes for various monthly reports and analysis using Excel, PowerBI and Coupa Advanced Analytics. Assist Category Managers in measuring savings and EBITA impact. Support analysis and documentation efforts. Upload diversity data into client's systems monthly. Manage the supplier name normalization cleanup process to ensure accurate and consistent information. This involves reviewing and identifying patterns in supplier names within Pcard data.
- Deliver Insights (40%): Support field members in understanding newly created reports. Coach them on optimizing current initiatives for efficiency and cost-effectiveness through Microsoft Teams calls. Utilize multiple data sources to create reports and draw insights to be used to support various department initiatives.
- Investigate Opportunities (20%): Assist Category Manager in category analysis, as needed. Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to address business and technical issues surrounding the data and systems. Collaborate with Procurement leaders and lead small-medium projects related to reporting, analysis, and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Management Information Systems (MIS) or other quantitative oriented disciplines, with 2 - 5 years' experience.
- Effective Communicator: Confident and comfortable engaging with field personnel. Additionally, comfortable coaching field staff and leaders on procurement initiatives, and providing suggestions to improve metrics.
- Experience using MS Office and strong experience using VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables.
- Must have excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and an ability to identify problems, and articulate solutions.
- Must be a proven self-starter with excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with numerous cross-functional business functions.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Must have outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational and project management skills.
