IT Project Manager / Manager of Consulting Operations

We are looking for a full time Senior IT Project Manager / Manager of Consulting Operations to help manage and deliver internal and customer projects. We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved from the start, running agile/scrum projects with superior technical talent, and thrives in a fast paced and always changing technology landscape. This role extends beyond traditional customer facing project management and encompasses managing of our day-to-day operations as an IT services company.

Duties

• Plan and coordinate all aspects of multiple technical projects from initiation through delivery
• Interact with customer and project stakeholders, understand business needs and work with various business and IT teams to build and implement custom software solutions
• Execute projects, facilitate discussions, encourage collaboration, resolve roadblocks, and keep projects and their resources on track
• Manage infrastructure and development teams located within the US as well as off-shore
• Generate and send reports to internal and external customers detailing project and/or engagement status
• Aide in back office activities related to potential engagements and resource tracking
• Provide day-to-day management of our IT services operations

Experience

• US citizen (no green card) located in the central or eastern US time zones
• At least 5yrs of project management experience
• At least 5yrs of running agile/scrum projects as scrum master
• Experience running software development projects with both small and large distributed teams
• Experience running multifaceted teams (i.e. infrastructure, software, and business project resources)
• Demonstrable knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, and OpsGenie/On-Call)
• Proficient in the understanding of SDLC, both development and infrastructure
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
• The knack of really understanding what is involved within the technical delivery of a project, both by what is said and by what is not being said
• Passionate about delivering successful projects and the thrill of a win for the customer
• Understand that working in the IT world sometimes requires working outside normal business hours
• Stable and distraction-free home workspace

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in fast pace, high delivery environments
• Scrum master certification
• Project management certification (e.g. PMI)
• Experience working with vendors, onboarding teams and back-office activities
• Prior professional experience as a software engineer or developer
• Prior experience working with cloud migrations, digital transformation, and custom development projects, ideally within an IT services or consulting firm

This is a full time position. Salary is based on experience and qualifications. No C2C or third-parties.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
