The company’s brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino®, C&H®, Redpath®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle’s® and Sidul®.OVERVIEWThe No. 1 Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, connection, maintenance and repair of all metal pipe and pipe equipment within an industrial facility.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms complicated industrial installation, connection, maintenance and repair of pipe lines and plumbing fixturesPlans major and difficult installations from blueprints, sketches and specificationsDuties include laying out piping and calculating take offs and pipefitting measurementsCompletes welds on steel, stainless steel and other related metals using stick / mig methodsPerforms all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standardsWORK EXPERIENCESA minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in pipe fabrication and welding, including pipefitting and layouts is neededEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or GED is preferred.ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)Ability to lay out piping jobs and calculate take offs and pipefitting measurementsAbility to perform welding of steel, iron or allows including Stick, Tig, Mig methodsAbility to determine material for piping layouts from blue prints and field dimensionsKnowledge of cutting, threading, welding and fitting all types of pipes and fittingsMust be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as neededWork independently as well as a team playerMust have ability to lift up to 50lbsMust be physically able to perform job duties including but not limited to : Lifting up to 50lbs.
