- Schedule PMS checks IAW OPNAV INST 4790.1 series
- Review, verify, and approve weekly reports originated within the Work Center.
- Apply policies and directives prescribed by higher authority. Read, interpret and ensure compliance with publications, instructions, notices, local directives and changes thereto as appropriate in accordance with 3-M.
- Review maintenance and repair cost estimates for tactical data networks and tactical data radios.
- Provide daily equipment status to the Work Center Supervisor (WCS).
- Support NCG2’s five subordinate units with assistance/guidance on communications equipment maintenance (3M Program) IAW 4790, Organizational Maintenance Management Systems-Next Generation (OMMS-NG), and SKED.
- Prepare standard operating procedures (SOP) for all tactical communications systems used in the NCF.
- Cycle equipment properly in support of all PMS requirements.
- Review all reports and provide feedback to subordinate units.
- Audit PMS manuals and FBR's and provide WC to WCS.
- Access SKED and assist WCS to document accomplishment/non-accomplishment of all 3-M maintenance requirements.
- Provide feedback for all communications equipment maintained.
- Assist Updating OMMS-NG when new equipment and attachments are added/removed.
- Validate all scheduled checks and equipment availability prior to start of each maintenance quarter.
- Update SKED/OMMS-NG for PMs, interim repairs, order parts, write jobs, and closing of work candidates. (Weekly)
Must have a DOD Active Secret Clearance or able to pass a Background Investigation
- Have prior 3M (maintenance, material and management) workstation and user operator experience/expertise for Tactical Data Networks (TDN) and or Enterprise Tactical Command and Control Local Area Network Suite (NETC2).
- Apply the skills and knowledge normally associated with a Technical Writer/Operator
- Have at least four years’ experience in understanding Technical Manuals, directives or instructions and procedures as a minimum qualification for this position.
- Have comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local security procedures is required.
- Have a working knowledge of basic computer networking skills to include, but not limited to, hardware (switch, router, blade server, net app, fire walls) and software (Windows 10, Virtue Machines (VM) Ware, MS Shareware server, MS Server 2013, MS Scanner, MS Exchange Server 2013 (emails).
- Be able hold at a minimum, a valid up to date Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) Security Certification or have equivalent qualifications
- Be able to maintain Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification eligibility and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) requirements
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, exercise initiative in gathering, assembling, collate, and analyzing information for completion of projects.
- Be able to obtain 40 Navy Continuing Learning Units (CLUs) per year via the guidance of the Information System Security Manager
