ASRC Federal is seeking an Associate Payroll Tax Specialist.
Essential job functions and responsibilities:
- Receives and processes all payroll tax notifications for federal, state and local jurisdictions.
- Compiles outstanding payroll tax liabilities and assigns to processors.
- Provides and reconciles unemployment rate notices with third-party payroll provider.
- Reconciles payroll registers to monthly and quarterly tax filings
- Reviews employee tax set up to ensure compliance with reciprocity and non-residency regulations
- Complete 941 Reconciliations for each quarter and year-end for all payroll general ledger accounts
- Ensure correct employee tax documents on file
- W2 review and reconciliation
- BA/BS degree and 0-2 years of experience or equivalent.
- Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, Dayforce and ADP experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong customer service skills.
- Must be detail oriented and be able to work on routine tasks with little to no supervision.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations and creativity in dealing with difficult/challenging situation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills
- Must have computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
