ASRC Federal is actively seeking qualified candidates for our Heavy Equipment Operator position at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Position Description:
Operates heavy equipment to repair Airfield and base street pavements, excavate utility lines, and haul
material and equipment as needed in a safe and productive manner to perform necessary construction
and maintenance of the installation. Safely operates heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks,
cranes, frontend loaders, street sweepers, tractor trailer combinations, water trucks and graders in
performing base maintenance. Makes repairs to asphalt and concrete surfaces using hand tools and
powered equipment. Uses approved snow removal/ice control equipment to perform snow and ice
control IAW approved base plans. Provides heavy equipment support for other shops and agencies on
the installation.
Job Duties:
- Operates truck mounted sweepers to maintain debris free pavement on runways, taxiways
and parking aprons for flying operations. - Performs asphalt and concrete repair to base streets, airfield pavements, parking lots and
sidewalks. Repairs, installs and replaces signs. Repairs, installs and replaces fence. Maintains
storm drainage systems. - Operates heavy equipment to move earthwork, pavements, equipment to perform
necessary construction, maintenance or repair of the installation. - Uses approved snow/ice removal equipment to perform snow and ice control IAW approved
plans. - Interact with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner

- Climbing, Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and similar areas.
- Stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching, walking, standing, pushing, lifting objects, and repetitive motion.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years of related experience
- Must possess at least a Class B Commercial Driver's license
- High School Education or GED required
- Must have the ability to work extended periods of times, shift work, and on-call when needed
