ASRC Federal is actively seeking qualified candidates for our Heavy Equipment Operator position at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Position Description:
Operates heavy equipment to repair Airfield and base street pavements, excavate utility lines, and haulmaterial and equipment as needed in a safe and productive manner to perform necessary constructionand maintenance of the installation. Safely operates heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks,cranes, frontend loaders, street sweepers, tractor trailer combinations, water trucks and graders inperforming base maintenance. Makes repairs to asphalt and concrete surfaces using hand tools andpowered equipment. Uses approved snow removal/ice control equipment to perform snow and icecontrol IAW approved base plans. Provides heavy equipment support for other shops and agencies onthe installation.
Job Duties:
Operates truck mounted sweepers to maintain debris free pavement on runways, taxiwaysand parking aprons for flying operations.
Performs asphalt and concrete repair to base streets, airfield pavements, parking lots andsidewalks. Repairs, installs and replaces signs. Repairs, installs and replaces fence. Maintainsstorm drainage systems.
Operates heavy equipment to move earthwork, pavements, equipment to performnecessary construction, maintenance or repair of the installation.
Uses approved snow/ice removal equipment to perform snow and ice control IAW approvedplans.
Interact with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner

Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 5 years of related experience
Must possess at least a Class B Commercial Driver's license
High School Education or GED required
Must have the ability to work extended periods of times, shift work, and on-call when needed
