What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer - Level IV position at ASRC Federal?
**Contingent upon successful contract award to ASRC Federal
We are currently seeking a Network Engineer - Level IV to work San Antonio, TX. The Program Manager shall perform the following:
Oversees and participates in the design, testing, upgrade and integration of new or existing information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Voice over IP (VoIP), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance to the organization’s business requirements.
Documents all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks.
Coordinates changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders.
Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard new and existing networks.
Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning.
Coordinates with architecture and evaluate new and emerging network technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products.
Assists network administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts.
May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
Level IV performs more independent thinking, complex tasks with little to no supervision compared to a Level III, and may supervise others.
Requirements
At least one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate Security, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA ), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification, CompTIA Security CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
CE: Professional (or expert) level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR.
Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency
Master’s degree and/or equivalency
U.S. Citizen and SECRET clearance required
Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
