In this role, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, maintenance, and debugging. You will also play a crucial role in database administration, cloud migration, and evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, document, test, maintain, and debug software and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions. Install, configure, and maintain P6 database on Oracle.
- Lead and participate in AWS cloud migration projects. Conduct alternatives analyses for COTS software solutions, providing recommendations based on technical and business requirements.
- Design, develop, and utilize electronic data processing systems for internal and external software applications. Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Prepare operating instructions and documentation for developed systems. Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure adherence to software development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and testing of integrated systems.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary research efforts. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing software applications. Preferred experience with DAX and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5-7 years of proven experience in software engineering and development.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., P6). and WebLogic.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Experience with database administration, specifically Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud migration and related services.
- Experience evaluating and implementing COTS software solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the position (e.g., Java, C , Python, etc. - specify if needed).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with DAX and Power BI.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).Experience with version control systems
