ASRC Federal Field Services, a Subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor at the Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center, located on Plum Island, NY. (1.5 nautical miles off North Fork of Long Island & 6 nautical miles off coast of Old Saybrook, CT). Marine transportation furnished by Government provided ferry.
Summary
Oversee and supervise all activities involving Quality Assurance (QA) and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conduct audits; and reviews and analyze data and documentation. Direct, supervise, and coordinate activities of an Integrated Management System (IMS) that incorporates ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, and ISO45001:2018 Standards/Certifications.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with technical major preferred.
- 3-5 years of Federal Contracting Experience.
- 5-7 years of Operations and Maintenance Environment
- ISO 9001:2015 Trained Lead Auditor.
- Proficient Computer skills, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Auditor
- ISO 45001 Health and Safety Auditor
- Familiar with NQA-1 Nuclear Quality Assurance
- ICS 100 Certification
- ICS 200 Certification
- ICS 300 Certification
- Facilitate maintenance of ISO registration status by coordinating and managing all aspects of ISO certified management systems (i.e. work with CBs and third-party auditors to coordinate schedules, spear head the resolution of third-party audit findings, etc.)
- Scheduling and participating in the internal and external surveillance audit program and activities.
- Review current O&M processes and procedures and updates and make suggestions for modifications for continuous improvements
- Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related procedures. Identify compliance issues and perform follow-up or investigation as required.
- Verify all facility and regulatory policies and procedures are documented, implemented, and communicated
- Assess product, compliance, and operational risks and develop risk management strategies and mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with operational managers regarding the QA aspects of routine and non-routine work projects and maintenance and quality inspections.
- Work with procurement to determine quality levels for critical items requiring various levels of inspection criteria.
- Provides technical support to operational managers.
- Assignments may require entry into biocontainment facilities, utility plants, a variety of storage buildings and constructions sites. Work within containment laboratory requires decontamination showers.
- Must be physically able to move freely in environments that are restricted in space, unsteady or otherwise not easily accessible. Ability to climb ladders, and lift to 50 lbs.
- As a condition for employment, all personnel entering the BSL-3 biocontainment facilities at Plum Island shall not be in contact with specific susceptible animals and their premises off Plum Island for a period of five (5) days after leaving biocontainment. Currently, restricted species are cattle, sheep, goats, deer, other ruminants, and swine. Contact with horses, birds (agricultural and pet birds) and rabbits are normally permitted, but restrictions may be placed on staff working with or near contagious agents affecting these species. Restricted livestock or other restricted animals may not be housed on the premises where the employee lives and where the quarantine cannot be enforced.
