ASRC Federal Cyber is hiring a Security Coordinator to support a Navy contract located at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dam Neck, Virginia. The Security Coordinator will support the customer in the implantation of the overall security program to include Information Security, Physical Security, OPSEC, Special Security and other Security Programs. Must have a current active DOD Top Secret clearance or an active DOD Secret clearance and be able to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility within 18 months.
Responsible for the following:
Managing Information Security programs
Classified control point
Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Providing oversight and scheduling for 24/7-hour support
Identifying spaces and security requirements for meetings
Assisting with development and implementation of security training and education
Reviewing and approving timecards
Derivative classification and marking
Providing security support for meetings and other activities
Assisting with special programs to include NATO, Critical Nuclear Weapon Design Information (CNWDI), Restricted Data/Formerly Restricted Data (RD/FRD), and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information and SCI
Conducting security education classes and security audits.
Investigating security violations and preparing reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
Assigning daily tasks to the team
Other duties as outlined in the Statement of Work
Requirements:
Must have or demonstrate the following:
Three (3) years of experience in developing and maintaining documentation and/or data management systems, involving DOD/DON combined in the security disciplines of information, physical, operations, and special security (e.g. Special Security Representative)
Active DOD Top Secret clearance or an active DOD Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility within 18 months
Experience should demonstrate skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Ability to utilize a ladder and carry a minimum of 50 pounds to perform physical security assessments
On-Site in person position
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to include specific Government formats and reports.
Knowledge of various software applications; Lenel Enterprise Control/Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alarms, Scattered Castles, Defense Information Security System (DISS) or the latest ISS and Security Information Management System (SIMS).
Experience in the use of DOD/DON policies regarding physical, information, and special security. Ability to climb a ladder to perform physical security assessments.
Desired Qualifications:
Security Fundamental Professional Certification (SFPC) from SPeD
Special Security Officer (SSO) Training certificate
Department of Navy or Department of Defense Security Manager’s Course
Department of Defense Locks Approved to Safeguard Classified Information
Anti-Terrorism Level II Course
