ASRC Federal is seeking a highly organized and experienced Program Security Specialist to join our team to support multiple programs in the Huntsville, AL area. Serve as a security specialist including Information Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, Personnel Security, OPSEC, and Foreign Disclosure. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, multi-tasking, and the ability to operate in a high-paced, team environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Six (6) years of job experience in alignment with the duties associated with this job description.
Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree
TASKS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provides caveat briefings (RD, CNWDI, NATO, etc.)
Develop security plans and procedures for handling, safeguarding, transmission, receipt, and generation of classified information.
Review security clearance determinations for employees or other persons for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites.
Changes and documents combinations.
Works with service contractors for door/lock operations and repairs
Support a multi-discipline security program to protect classified information located at all government and contractor facilities involved in the program.
Support detailed security procedures (SOPs, OPSEC Plans, etc.) to be implemented at all locations.
Maintains SF 701s and 702s.
Continuously evaluate and modify the security program as technology matures and progresses through research and development, production and fielding, ensuring continuous protection.
Continuously monitor training certificate expirations and coordinate with employees to complete yearly (JKO, CDSE, Insider Threat, Annual Security Refresher, etc.).
Complete Common Access Card (CAC) applications as required.
Complete Visit Access Requests (VAR) in DISS for outbound travelers and verify incoming VAR for meetings to take place on-site.
Conduct daily security checks.
Maintain area access lists.
Maintain sensitive materials database.
Required Skills:
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (Must be able to obtain a TS)
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of job experience in alignment with the duties associated with this job description.
Strong knowledge of DoD Security systems (DISS, NBIS, NISS, SWFT) and procedures.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams and SharePoint.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.
Familiarity with MDA organizations and security processes desired.
Extensive working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM (NISPOM Rule).
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Primarily in an office environment.
Some travel is anticipated under this contract.
Potential for partial telework under COVID, however must be local commuting area or willing to relocate.
