ASRC Federal Communications is seeing a Services Technician I for our ISS2 contact supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Wake Island. It’s a rotational position in which the selected employee will work a schedule of 3 months on the island and on month off unpaid, Wake Island is 2,100 miles away from HNL. While working on-site housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. You are responsible for the flight from your home base to HNL. Transportation to Wake Island is provided by government sponsored aircraft. This is a negotiated union position
The Service Tech I is responsible for all aspects of billeting of TDY and Permanent Party Personnel, including housekeeping of all billeting areas. This position is also responsible for warehouse storage, cataloging, and property utilization.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Assists in unloading trucks and stocking items in storerooms.
Performs visitor processing and reporting activities.
Responds to callouts after normal working hours as needed.
Prepares transient and contractor quarters for occupancy; inventories and replenishes amenities.
Ensures cleanliness of billeting restrooms.
Sweeps, mops, waxes and vacuums floors in hallways and common-use areas.
Dusts furniture, washes windows, and empties trash containers in common-use areas.
Ensures that equipment, storage, and maintenance areas are kept clean.
Ensures areas adjacent to billets and public facilities are free of trash and debris.
Orders and maintains a 30-day stock of housekeeping and janitorial supplies.
Knowledge of military rank structure and protocol.
Following established safety procedures and utilize safety protective equipment and clothing.
Performs related work as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year of janitorial experience.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Must have a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
Ability to speak, write and read English.
Ability to pass National Agency Check with Inquiries background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hospitality management experience.
Three (3) years billeting or hotel/motel experience.
One (1) year experience in cargo processing, manifesting and pallet building
