ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Software Configuration Specialist to join our Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR-9) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
The ASR-9 is a radar system used by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to monitor air traffic and weather conditions in the United States. The ASR-9 is a primary surveillance radar that provides air traffic controllers with information on aircraft position and weather.
We are looking for an experienced individual to work independently and in a team environment. This individual :
- Provides expertise in hardware, software, database, firmware, and / or documentation Configuration Items (CIs). Proficient working with various configuration management tools and applications such as but not limited to IBM Rational ClearQuest.
- Works as part of an integrated project team, providing CM and Program Management (PM) support on systems, projects, and audits. Supports the organization in order to maintain the operational and product baseline, perform software builds and installations on test environments, and ensures version control process and procedures are followed.
- Assists FAA personnel with updating various CM process and procedure documents and performing audits on product, project, lab, and operational system baselines.
- May be required to lead system and project audits and provide suggestions on process improvement opportunities, documents, and implements the changes.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with seven (7) years related experience OR
