ASRC Federal is seeking a Supply Technician Lead for its ISS2 contract working with the USAF at Eareckson Air Station located at Shemya, AK. This position is a rotational union position working 3 months on 1 month off with both lodging and meals provided.
Summary Of Job
The Lead Supply Technician leads the base supply operation. This position manages the supply room and acquires supplies to meet the needs of the contract including, common off-the-shelf supplies, items that are manufactured to order, and/or specialized materials. The incumbent determines the appropriate procedures to use to obtain goods and services that will fill the requirements, meet the delivery schedule, provide the best practice, and conform to customer and company acquisition regulations. Essential Duties & Job Functions
- Performs a variety of procurement duties requiring an understanding of government supply systems, programs, policies, work methods, and other established guidelines.
- Provides information relevant to expediting and current status of supply transactions, including coordination with department supervisors/leads on overdue material(s), tracking the material(s) to expedite anticipated receipt date or to establish a revised delivery date, and updating all applicable reports.
- Coordinates with trades personnel in the identification of proper and correct materials, parts assemblies, and requirements for a variety of requisitions; locates materials and parts assemblies and identifies vendor(s) based on availability of the item(s) and pricing.
- Coordinates the purchase and anticipated receiving date of materials, parts, and assemblies in accordance with requisitions received for all types of work documents, warehouse stock reorder, and other pertinent requests.
- Pick up and delivers supplies as required.
- Utilizes a module of an automated work management system to perform duties that interface with other key users in the same system.
- Manage inventory, including inventory stock placement, replacement item orders, and inventory management control.
- Updates inventory databases after all supply transactions.
- Submits purchase requisition and other means of requesting an item.
- Originates necessary documents, forms, reports, etc., and queries various computer work systems to extract information concerning projects, materials, or supplies.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to the customer.
- Loads or unloads airplanes, barges, or other transportation devices manually.
- Transport goods by forklift, hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.
- Unpacks, shelves, or places items in proper storage locations.
- Serves as fuel/re-supply barge augmentee.
- Performs snow removal duties as required.
- Perform Emergency Response Team duties as needed.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- Keeps supervisor apprised of mission status
- Directs and coordinates activities of the section
- Assist craft personnel in assigned tasks
- Ensures proper housekeeping practices are observed
- Inspect and observes work to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and practices
- Completes mission status reports as required
- Ensures work is scheduled and accomplished within established timelines
- Ensures subordinates' time records reflect accurate hours worked on appropriate job activities
- Coordinates personnel TOS requests while maintaining mission requirements
- Common safety practices and protective equipment used on a construction site.
- Surface peculiarities and types of paint required for different applications.
- In the use of hand and power tools commonly used in the construction trade.
- Understanding and following directions.
- Communicating effectively orally and in writing.
- Performing duties in a timely, cost-effective manner.
- Work cooperatively and safely with others on common projects.
- Climbing extension ladders and/or elevated platforms.
Mandatory Requirements
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of supply, warehouse, and procurement experience.
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries
- U.S. citizen.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment fingerprints and drug test.
- Previous experience working on a military installation.
- Previous experience working in a remote location.
