Summary
The individual will serve as a Technical Editor within Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) at NASA HQ to support the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS).
Responsibilities
- Provide full lifecycle document management in support of the standardization activities.
- Writes, rewrites, and / or edits technical documents which includes scientific, engineering, and technical content to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
- Coordinate, collaborate, and synthesize content from engineers and other technical professionals.
- Proofread documents for clarity, grammar, and adherence to CCSDS standards.
- Track the workflow of document edits throughout the development phase of each standard from a CCSDS Standard to an ISO Standard.
- Maintain metrics of CCSDS standards utilization and adoption by the space mission community.
Requirements
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 8 or more years of relevant work experience.
