What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Developer position at ASRC Federal?
- Provide mid-level to senior application development support for custom web-based applications.
- Work with a small team of application developers to assist with developing and implementing custom web and native software solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to understand and define requirements and incorporate them into the software.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Experience working with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; using AJAX with JSON.
- Experience developing web applications and working with relational databases.
- Ability to learn new language syntax quickly.
- Preferred experience in full-stack (front-end and back-end) development and using RESTful web services.
- Knowledge of good user experience / UI design.
- Experience with version control software.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
- Bachelors in computer science, engineering, or related field and minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; 12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a college degree.
