Job Summary: This position oversees all aspects of the mechanical operations of the department, as assigned by the Production Manager. Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience in an industrial environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and cost-efficient completion of projects and jobs.
- Establishes a safe working environment and enforces established safety policies as outlined by company policy, OSHA, and state and federal laws.
- Determines workforce staffing to maximize efficiency and meet project estimations and deadlines.
- Leads and develops Foreman, Leadman, and production team members.
- Advise the Production Manager on the status of all assigned projects, potential obstacles and delays, and plans to minimize impact and beat project goals.
- Problem solver - seeks solutions to problems that ensure compliance within established guidelines without exceeding budget and maximizing company and customer satisfaction.
- Various administrative duties such as report writing, performance reviews, responding to emails, form completion, etc.
- Operate and use various office equipment, computers, cell phones, fax copy machines and software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Promote teamwork and a safe, positive working environment.
- Instruct team members on the use of equipment and tools.
- Estimate time, manpower, and materials required for assigned jobs.
- Evaluate team member performance and correct as necessary.
- Assess team member skills and provide necessary training opportunities.
Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in the mechanical field.
