Job Summary : Petrochem is currently seeking a Siding / Metal Mechanic in the Berry, Alabama area . This position reports to the Job Site Manager and supports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors : excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, commitment to our community, accountability, and ownership.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Cutting, shaping and assembly of metal components based on blueprints, technical drawings and verbal instructions
- Must be able to operate manlift, forklift and scissorlift
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols
Key Requirements and Education Experience :
- Certified or skills to be certified to operate manlift, forklift and scissorlift
- Bilingual English / Spanish required
- Ability to install flashing and panels
- Minimum 3 years experience in metal working or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting metal parts (minimum 50 pounds), bending, kneeling and standing for extended periods while working at heights and / or outdoors in various weather conditions (90% of time or more)
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality workmanship
