Position Description

Major Areas of Responsibility: Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Safety minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits, maintaining work are organized aligned with 5S.
- Perform regular cycle counts of inventory, ensuring that all items are accurately tracked, logged, and recorded.
- Monitor and reconcile any discrepancies between physical inventory counts and system records.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential areas of improvement in inventory management.
- Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure inventory accuracy, and resolve issues related to stock discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of annual or periodic physical inventory audits.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of all stock items to facilitate easy retrieval and accurate counting.
- Maintain inventory records and prepare reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and cycle count results.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce inventory errors and increase operational efficiency.
- Operate forklift to organize materials by loading and unloading from/to trucks, racks, and carts, occasionally by hands.
- Maintain and repair pallets or other equipment by using power tools including general assembly as necessary.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of best practices for inventory management.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, working with relevant departments to ensure resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations in all inventory management tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements and qualifications: This position requires the following essential knowledge, skills, and abilities to satisfactorily fulfil the role:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in inventory management or similar roles, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proven forklift experience (Sit-down and Stand-up)
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes, including cycle counting and reconciliation.
- Proficient in using inventory management software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be a team player and must be willing to cross-train across different production lines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move inventory items as necessary, complying with safety standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of inventory best practices and an ability to improve existing systems.
