Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage the maintenance team in ensuring the proper functioning of all facilities, machinery, and equipment. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), motors, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, and punch presses. As a key member of our operations, you will oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs, all while fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, lead, and manage the maintenance team, ensuring timely and high-quality work on all mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment, with a focus on PLCs, motors, CNC machines, and punch presses, identifying potential issues before they lead to downtime.
- Lead the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of complex equipment, including CNC machines, motors, PLC-controlled systems, and punch presses.
- Manage preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and systems, ensuring that maintenance schedules are followed and equipment operates at peak performance.
- Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to production and operations.
- Oversee the setup, programming, and maintenance of PLC systems, and ensure proper functioning of automated production machinery.
- Provide training and mentorship to maintenance technicians, enhancing their knowledge and skills in troubleshooting and repair of PLCs, CNC equipment, and punch presses.
- Collaborate with other departments to address production needs and optimize machine performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, work orders, and inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, recommending cost-effective solutions for repairs and equipment upgrades.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements related to PLCs, CNC machines, and other automation systems.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Facilities Management, or related field preferred).
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Technician with hands-on expertise in maintaining and repairing PLCs, motors, CNC machines, and punch presses.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems).
- Solid experience with industrial motors, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Expertise in CNC machine operation, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Experience with punch press machinery and the ability to repair or modify punch press systems as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and fix complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentorship and employee development.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external vendors.
- Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
- Regular work hours may vary depending on production needs.
- Must be available for on-call support during emergency breakdowns.
- Occasional travel to different sites or facilities may be required.
