What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality and Productivity Director position at ASSA ABLOY Group?
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and implementing efficient manufacturing practices. You will study current processes, collaborate with on-site teams, and implement LEAN concepts to increase productivity, ensure safety, reduce waste, and optimize investments.
You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, researching, evaluating, and recommending strategic plans, cost-saving initiatives, new processes, and system improvements. Additionally, you will oversee the design, concept, and purchasing of new machinery, equipment, and tooling areas, and recommend design changes in existing product lines to promote cost savings and efficiencies.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Continually improving processes and cost efficiencies for labor and material costs
- Designing, developing, and championing for manufacturing to be done in the most economical way with the least capital expenditure
- Assisting with the preparation of capital budgets
