In this role, you will own subsystems within larger projects, working closely under a Lead Mechanical Engineer. You will be involved in selecting concepts and technologies to meet product requirements, and will contribute to the design, prototyping, validation, manufacturing, and maintenance of products while ensuring their scalability, reliability, and simplicity.As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be expected to provide technical expertise and collaborate with other engineers, while maintaining a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to project execution. Strong analytical skills are essential for solving complex problems, making informed decisions, and addressing challenges. Comfort with hands-on work is important, as you will remain engaged with the practical aspects of design and development. You will contribute to project activities, drive decision-making processes, and support clear and transparent communication across teams. This role reports to the manager of Mechanical Engineering.Responsibilities : Contribute to the creation of products from concept to mass production, focusing on specific subsystems within larger projectsSupport the design, build, assembly, and testing of product prototypes, with attention to durability and long-term performanceAssist in decision-making processes during design reviews, ensuring that choices align with project goalsCollaborate with electrical and firmware engineers to implement designs that meet product requirements and maintain cross-functional alignmentDevelop and maintain mechanical designs and BOM in 3D CAD (NX), and create engineering specifications that define components and subassembliesMaintain clear product records in PLM (Arena), ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessiblePromote clear and transparent communication within the team, and provide updates on project status, risks, and key decisionsRequired Qualifications : 3 years of product design experience with a demonstrated ability to manage subsystems within larger projectsStrong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, with experience in mechanism design and designing for strength and reliabilityExperience in designing consumer-oriented products using various processes and materials, including plastic molding and metal parts (sheet metal, diecast, MIM, CNC, etc.)Solid math skills, including geometry, calculus, and physicsFamiliarity with CAD (Siemens NX preferred) and other mechanical design software (ANSYS)Effective problem-solving skills with a balance of creative and critical thinkingStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a teamGood communication skills, with a focus on clear and transparent reportingUnderstanding of customer needs and use casesDemonstrates a proactive and self-starting attitude, able to take initiative and work independently with minimal guidance while contributing effectively to team projects.Experience working with Asian manufacturing and supply chains including experience and willingness to travel internationally for key supplier meetings and NPI builds#J-18808-Ljbffr
