We are looking for a creative, curious, and motivated individual to join our corporate data science team, which is part of the CTO's Office at HID Global. Your primary focus will be developing, testing, debugging and optimizing algorithms for real-time location systems (RTLS) and other IoT sensing systems such as vibrational condition monitors. You will also have the opportunity to work with and learn from colleagues in other technology areas such as UWB, cryptography, AI agentic systems, statistical analysis, and many others. In some projects you may be leading the development and implementation of algorithms that provide new analytic capabilities. In other projects you may be part of a team seeking to understand the characteristics of current products or services to improve their performance.

As our Data Scientist, you'll support HID's success by :
- Developing novel analytic methods and / or adapt known analytic methods to carry out various commercially relevant functions.
- Developing new and informative ways to visualize data and results and effectively communicate your findings to managers and / or other non-specialists.
- Optimizing and improving on algorithms that are part of current commercial offerings.
- Working within multidisciplinary teams to develop new system designs or debugging and optimizing existing ones to enable or enhance analytic capabilities.
- Inventing new analytic systems and methods, write invention disclosures, and work with others to create patent applications.
