We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the newly created role of Expedite Scheduler. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for reviewing customer requests for expedited delivery, information, and order cancellations. You will coordinate with our operations staff to provide timely and accurate responses, while ensuring excellent customer service. Additionally, you will coordinate production schedules, providing essential support to our operations department. Your goal will be to optimize Medeco factory capacity, achieving the lowest days to ship, highest order fill rate, and highest agility rate possible.
Essential Functions:
- Review and process customer requests for expedite, information, or cancellation.
- Coordinate with customer-facing and internal team members to provide accurate answers to customers.
- Develop and maintain production schedules for multiple departments.
- Communicate anticipated orders and scheduling priorities with Managers and Team Leads.
- Review and distribute production work and shipment schedules.
- Collaborate with department leadership to track work progress and completion dates.
- Compile and analyze reports on work progress, inventory levels, costs, and production issues.
- Ensure timely information transfer between Operations and the Customer Care Department.
- Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels, including performing cycle counts.
- Serve as a backup for Team Leads and other Schedulers when needed.
- Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing management ERP systems, with a preference for JD Edwards
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
Work Environment:
The work environment is primarily indoors. The majority of the Expedite Scheduler’s time is spent in a cubical office environment with frequent walking throughout the facility for meetings. The position does not travel.
