Our Curries brand has just begun recruitment efforts for a Project Services Specialist. This is an on-site role that will be based out of our Mason City, Iowa manufacturing facility.

What would you do as our Project Service’s Specialist?
The Project Services Detailer will prepare accurate and complete shop drawings from architectural plans and specifications, including take-off and detailing.
You will also:
- Interpret and enter hollow metal information from architectural plans with completeness and accuracy.
- Interpret and enter hollow metal hardware schedules with accuracy.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cut sheets for hollow metal application.
- Create frame and door elevations for architectural, general contractors, and manufacturing approval.
- Check shop drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, specification requirements.
- Prepare detailed door listing from architectural plans.
- Assist customers, sales, architects, and contractors with technical information.
- Review orders and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements.
- Interpret hardware templates.
- Consult with hardware manufacturers on product information.
- Coordinate doors and frames for functionality.
- Interpret building codes, specifications, and label requirements.
- Consult with Engineering on special product information and labeling capabilities.
- Communication with distributors regarding clarification of plans and specs.
- Assist Project Managers.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
What we are looking for:
- High School or GED equivalent.
- Two year drafting or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hollow metal industry.
- CAD or SoldiWorks experience preferred.
- Extensive steel frame and door product knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and hardware schedules.
- Construction industry experience a plus.
- General Understanding of building codes and labeling requirements.
- Detail oriented and the ability to interpret technical information.
- Excellent personal computer skills preferred (word, excel, internet, email, etc.).
- Excellent math and conceptual skills which include basic Geometry, Algebra, fractions, metric.
- Ability to communicate effectively, utilizing both verbal and written communications.
- Ability to work effectively and positively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, excellent organization skills, and able to meet customer deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work over 40 hours a week, including Saturdays.
