What you will be doing
We are looking for a Senior Human Resource Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of the Ventura, CA location, reporting to the Pemko Human Resources Manager in Memphis.
This full-time Sr HR Generalist role will be responsible for full-cycle HR activities at the plant-level, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, FMLA / CA PFL & PSL, coaching, corrective actions, training, benefits administration, and consolidating payroll in partnership with Corporate Payroll. Currently, there are approximately 100 employees at this non-unionized location.
In addition to the above, a demonstrated strong foundation in California labor and payroll laws is a must have for this role as you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to all applicable California regulations.
As the Sr. Human Resource Generalist, you will display your excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across the business and influence desired results. A self-starter with the ability to work independently, you will embrace a fast-paced work environment to meet challenging assignments while delivering superior support to key stakeholders.
