Facilities Technician
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Facilities Technician. The position will be responsible for basic upkeep and cleaning of the facility. This will be a 1st shift position - Monday thru Friday, 5 am. to 3:30pm with over time as required.This will be a first shift position from 5:00am to 3:30pm. Monday thru Friday some weekends as required.
What you will be doing:
- Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of building and grounds, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
- Basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
- Provides facilities and maintenance labor and technical support to all areas of the site structure, equipment and grounds.
- Works with manufacturing and process engineering utilizing blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
- Support facility/production daily scheduled and non-scheduled work order related activities.
- Concrete repair and polishing of manufacturing floors as required
- Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.
- Other duties as instructed by Supervisor.
The skills and experience you need:
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- 2 years of light industrial electrical experience required
- 2 years of plumbing/sewer experience required
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with all company policies.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
- Must be able to do physical labor and operate power equipment, such as forklifts and boom lifts.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
- Must be able to professionally work with outside vendors.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and capacity to take direction.
- Must have their own tools.
- Ability to routinely lift up 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a Team.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
