Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our talented production and facilities Maintenance team at Medeco where precision machining is in our DNA! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and safety. With over 100 CNC machines in use and new technology regularly added, this is a great growth opportunity for the right candidate! Facilities maintenance is also handled by this team.
Typical Job Duties:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other precision machining tools.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
- Possess expertise in electronic troubleshooting and repair, as well as mechanical diagnosis and repair, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment learning new technologies and applying them to your work.
- Provide training and support to operators on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
- Set-up, plan procedures, install and repair production and building equipment, special purpose machines, water, air and gas lines, electrical and electronic controls
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned
Hazardous & Universal Waste Management:
• As a backup to the Wastewater Technician, learn processes used to accumulate hazardous waste, label, document, and transport as needed
Qualifications Desired:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent education (required)
- Previous experience in industrial and facilities maintenance highly desired
- Demonstrated ability in electronic and mechanical repair
- Multi-skilled in most, if not all, areas of equipment repair in an industrial environment
- Ability to interpret equipment specifications and technical data
- Use and understand measuring devices and special test equipment associated with the repair of industrial equipment
- Use and understand alignment equipment for precision CNC machine alignments
- QS-1 Certification
- Welding experience
- Forklift operation experience
