What are the responsibilities and job description for the LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE HEALTH TECHNOLOGY position at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School?
GENERAL STATEMENT: This assignment consists of assisting and working in collaboration with the Health Technology teachers to deliver curriculum and support the learning experiences of students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Recent RN, LPN, EMT, long term care, medical office experience
• Knowledge and experience working with adolescents
• Knowledge of and/or ability to learn specific educational technology software programs
PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Delivery of Instruction
• Work in the technical program setting (i.e. classrooms, lab) to support all students in collaboration with the classroom teachers, special educators and department lead teachers
• Assist individual students in the completion of hands-on and written assignments
• Assist in preparing and distributing specialized instructional material
• Assist students in utilizing educational technology
• Ability to multi-task and balance a variety of job responsibilities throughout the workday
Records and Reports
• Prepare paperwork, compile data, and maintain records as necessary
• Maintain files for tests, worksheets and other items
Professional Responsibilities
• Support the philosophy and mission statement of the school
• Participate in professional development activities offered by the district
• Maintain professional dress, punctuality, and attendance
• Establish a professional, courteous working relationship with staff and students
• Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as is expected of fully licensed teachers
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Career and Technical Education
