Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including patient history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed during procedures.
- Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix is an advantage.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to demonstrate aseptic technique in all aspects of patient care.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
