Summary/Objective
Jotto Desk is a leader and innovator in the Public Safety marketplace. Being known for our designs, how nicely they fit, how easy installations are, and how quickly we ship have helped establish us as one of the top manufacturers and earned us the trust of city, county, and state law enforcement agencies from coast to coast. Jotto Desk takes pride in our culture, the feeling of belonging, and working toward a common goal. Our products help to make a police vehicle function properly so that the officer is safe, comfortable, and able to do their job properly…which helps impact each city, county, and state we touch. Along that line, we have an WFH Program available that allows Sales Managers to earn WFH days while growing sales with their assigned territory.
The Law Enforcement Market is a salesperson's dream industry. No worries about the Customer having money or if they will pay the bill, as Agencies do not place orders unless they have budget dollars. No worries about having to convince someone or some company that they need our product. Every Law Enforcement Agency in the territory buys vehicles every year, and already have a budget for all of the products that we manufacture. The Sales Manager's job is to understand their needs, discover their pain points, and make available the Jotto Desk products that will solve their problems and convince them to spend those dollars on Jotto Desk products and not the competition.
Demo vehicles, fully outfitted with all of our products, are available for the Sales Manager to checkout and travel into the territory as needed. Meet your Customers face to face and be able to physically show them exactly what you’ve been discussing on the phone. The Mid-Central Region covers West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Jotto Desk will provide laptop, cell phone and company credit card. We also consider our training (1 week product/1 week industry and internal) to be a solid foundation to being ready to hit the ground running toward success.
Essential Functions

- Develop and grow sales in the Mid-Central region (WV, OH, IN, KY) through building relationships with distribution and state and local public safety agencies.
- Monitors competitive environment within the territory and identifies opportunities and activities necessary to gain market share.
- Sets performance goals, executes sales plan to gain market share and evaluates distribution against established goals.
- Analyzes distribution, customers, and application of successful product sales and applies knowledge to expand into new business opportunities and marketplaces.
- Required to manage and drive business to meet and exceed sales goals for geographic territory.
- Responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with all distributors, dealers, and end-users.
- Provide value-added training to distributor and dealer sales teams to help them increase and maintain expert knowledge on all Jotto Desks products.
- Develop competitive analysis of geographic territory and plan to take market share.
- Coordinates sales activities with National Sales Manager
- Must be able to travel overnight 15% annually.

This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates largely in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Visits varying in frequency and duration will be required in the manufacturing and warehouse areas from time to time, where air tools may be in use and forklift traffic will be present.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role requiring extended time sitting; however, some walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and stooping are necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years total work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in sales or sales management.
